Agreement
By installing or using a TaskGo extension, or by using taskgo.ai (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services and remove any TaskGo extension you have installed. “TaskGo”, “we” and “us” mean the team that publishes the Services.
What we provide
TaskGo publishes free browser extensions for Google Chrome and compatible browsers, distributed through the Chrome Web Store, and this website describing them. The extensions run locally in your browser and do not require an account. We may add, change or discontinue features or extensions at any time.
Your use of the Chrome Web Store and of Chrome itself is also governed by Google's own terms.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the extensions for any lawful personal or business purpose, free of charge. You may not sell, sublicense or redistribute the extensions, or publish modified copies under the TaskGo name or with our branding.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- break any law or infringe anyone else's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- send, share or store malware, or content that is illegal, abusive or that you have no right to share;
- attack, overload or interfere with taskgo.ai or the announcement feed; or
- misrepresent a modified or repackaged copy of an extension as an official TaskGo release.
Your content and files
Everything you create or keep with our extensions — settings, to-dos, saved tabs, captures, audits, files you transfer — stays yours and stays on your device. We do not receive it, so we cannot recover it if it is lost. Keep your own backups of anything important.
With File Drop, files move directly between two browsers. You are solely responsible for the files you send and for choosing who you share invite codes with.
Third-party sites and services
Several extensions work on websites operated by others — for example by blocking ads, restyling pages, blocking sites, capturing or printing pages, or auditing them. You are responsible for making sure your use complies with the terms of those websites. Changing how a page looks or loads in your own browser does not give you any rights in that page's content.
Features that depend on third parties (such as Google's public STUN server used by File Drop, or Chrome APIs) may change or stop working outside our control. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services, including those linked from announcements.
Updates and announcements
Extensions may update automatically through the Chrome Web Store. They also check a public announcement feed on taskgo.ai and may show a notification about new TaskGo tools or important updates. You can disable these notifications in Chrome's settings. See the Privacy Policy for what this check involves.
Intellectual property
The TaskGo name, logo, website design, text and graphics, and the extensions themselves, are owned by TaskGo and protected by intellectual property laws. Other product names mentioned on this site (for example as alternatives we compare against) belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Feedback
We love suggestions. If you send us ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them to improve the Services without owing you anything, and we will not publish your name or email without asking.
No warranty
The Services are provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every ad or site will be blocked, that every page will capture, print or display correctly, that File Drop transfers will always connect, or that SEO Audit results are complete. SEO scores are guidance based on public best practices, not a promise of search rankings.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskGo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Services. Because the Services are free, our total liability for any claim relating to them is limited to USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived.
Ending use
You can stop using the Services at any time by removing the extensions; doing so deletes their local data. We may stop offering any extension, or block misuse of the website and feed, at any time. Sections on intellectual property, no warranty and limitation of liability continue to apply after you stop using the Services.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will give notice on this site or through the announcement feed. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TaskGo is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing any formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
